  • What inspires you?

I find daily inspiration everywhere -- from the words in music to the sounds of nature. But my biggest inspirations come from people who will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals. Brave hearts who are willing to jump into a world of uncertainties, risking comfort and familiarity, in order to live a life that is true to their own desires. These are the types of people who fuel my drive to pursue greater goals outside of the traditional or "normal" path. I am especially inspired by those who strive to make a positive difference in other people's lives -- regardless of how big or small. Risk-takers and adventurous learners.  SOLUTION SEEKERS. And most of all, DOERS. Vision without action is merely a dream. Dreamers can dream and talk about it all day long, but I admire those who take action. These are my key motivators, and I'm blessed to have such people in my life.

  • Who were your biggest influences?

Raised by a single mom and brought up in a family of girls, I have been greatly influenced by all the women that surrounded me --- particularly my mom and my sister, who have led by true examples of enormous strength. Through experiences with family and personal endeavors, I have seen and embraced the power of a woman's independence. I've also been very lucky to experience the significance of sisterhood through the friendships I have formed while growing up. These are strengths and values that I passionately hold and seek to share with my little nieces and cousins by providing them with the same female bond, guidance, and support that I have been blessed with throughout my life.

"Open your mind before you open your mouth."

Never be so quick to judge, and understand that everybody leads a different life. Be open to new perspectives and allow yourself to see the world through the eyes of other people. Regardless of age, race, status, or gender,  there's always something to be learned from everybody. Gaining insights from my three-year-old niece is just as beneficial as seeking advice from successful mentors.

  • What inspires you?

To be truthfully honest, this question is simultaneously simple and complex every time I think about it because there is no one single answer to this. There are multiple forms of inspiration in my life, whether it be music, quotes, people or experiences. But what truly has an impact on me every time would be when I see people helping people- it’s so simple. It's a feeling that is indescribable to me when I am able help someone else. For myself, the basis of everything is love so when I see people coming together for the love of assisting others, it inspires me to join in spreading that. What is really living if you're not doing what you love and what I love is making the people around me feel positive, supported and encouraged. The mere fact that there is hope in all facets of life.. gives me faith in continuing to believe in something bigger than myself. There is nothing more pure than the feeling of just wanting to give back and actually being able to do it.

  • Who were your biggest influences?

First and foremost my family has shaped who I am, they are my support system. They are real reminders to me of resilience and strength. I am motivated when I see how they carry themselves in daily life with such ease and the way they graciously handle setbacks-- emotionally, physically and mentally. It pushes me to continuously strive to become a better person. The relationships I have with my friends also takes part in what influences me. There is so much negativity surrounding us; my friends teach me to embody the opposite of that. Because of these people I find the confidence and motivation in myself to uplift others in a positive light.

"You're never going to be 100% ready and it's never going to be just the right time, but that's the point. It means that every moment is also the right moment. If you want it, you just have to do it.”

Literally- just do it. As I get older I really grasp how precious time is. And most of all, in every aspect of life and relationships just keep moving forward.. Everything that has happened, has been necessary for growth. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems- it's all in how we choose to react to it.
